Chris has been practicing in the area of executive and director compensation for more than 20 years. Her practice is focused on executive compensation design with an emphasis on incentive programs; executive, change of control and retention agreements; director compensation; risk adjusted compensation; compensation governance and disclosure; supplemental pension arrangements and performance measure selection and development.

Chris has extensive experience addressing compensation issues in connection with mergers and acquisitions, private companies (closely held, private equity and pre IPO) and regulated entities.

Chris’s clients include companies in diverse industries including financial services, mining, retail, communications and manufacturing.

Chris is a frequent writer and speaker on compensation issues. She developed a compensation committee seminar series, is the chair of an annual governance conference and has written extensively about incentive arrangements, risk adjusted compensation and trends in compensation.

Chris was a partner at Davies, Ward, Philips and Vineberg and at Torys LLP for a combined 23 years. Chris has been recognized by Practical Law Company, Best Lawyers and Chambers and Partners as a leading employment lawyer and by Martindale as preeminent. She is also an avid sailboat racer.
