LAKE FOREST, ILL. — July 11, 2016 — Meridian Compensation Partners, LLC, a leading executive compensation and corporate governance consulting firm, announced today that the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) has recognized managing partners, Michael J. Powers and Jim Wolf, as being among the nation’s most influential leaders in corporate governance, for the fourth consecutive year.
Mr. Powers and Mr. Wolf were named to the NACD Directorship 100 list, which honors top corporate directors and governance leaders who exert a significant influence on boardroom practices and performance. Mr. Powers and Mr. Wolf are recognized in the 2016 list, in the category of Governance Professionals and Institutions, for demonstrating integrity, mature confidence, high performance standards and informed judgment that are trusted by their peers. The NACD, the only membership organization focused exclusively on advancing exemplary board leadership, has issued its Directorship 100 list for nearly three decades.

He has testified to the U.S. Congress, the SEC and the FASB on executive pay and governance issues, and is a current member of the Compensation Committee Leadership Network. His clients comprise large and mid-cap companies in diverse industries including consumer products, food, retail, chemicals and oilfield services. His client relationships are primarily with both compensation committees and management.
Mr. Wolf has 20 years experience in providing consulting services to private and public organizations, ranging from Fortune 100 companies to recent start-ups. His primary expertise is in the oil and gas and engineering and construction industries in the areas of executive compensation, governance, performance-based pay and benefits. For most of his clients, Mr. Wolf serves as lead consultant, providing direct input to their respective compensation committees and boards of directors. He heads a team of Texas-based consultants serving over 30 companies.
The inclusion of Mr. Powers and Mr. Wolf in NACD’s 2016 list of most influential leaders in corporate governance reflects Meridian’s commitment to integrity, keen business insight and strong leadership, company executives said.
