Posted by Donald Kalfen on June 29, 2017 in Thought Leadership
Specifically, this report will cover the following areas:
- Standard & Poor’s (S&P) 500 Say on Pay (SOP) Vote Results and Analysis
- Russell 3000 SOP Vote Results and Analysis
- Analysis of Vote Results on Select Shareholder Proposals
So far, two key takeaways from this proxy season. Shareholder support for company say on pay proposals is reaching new heights, as the failure rate for these proposals have dropped to new lows, ½% for S&P 500 companies and 1% for Russell 3000 companies. Shareholder support for proxy access proposals remains strong; however, the number of such proposals has declined markedly from last proxy season.
