Why Most Companies Did Not Alter Their Compensation Plans in 2020

What did we learn about the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on executive compensation plans?
Meridian Compensation Partners conducted a pulse survey of their 300 largest clients to find out. Survey respondents were asked to share what actions they took in 2020 and what might be contemplated as they plan for 2021.
While the majority of respondents did not make major changes, a meaningful minority did. For example, some organizations reported making changes to annual bonus plans, such as reducing or changing goals and metrics. Few organizations made significant changes to their long-term incentive plans.
Watch this brief video clip featuring Michael Brittian, Partner at Meridian, to learn more about the survey findings and explore some of the reasons behind the changes.
