Meridian is excited to announce the election of both Ryan Harvey and Christina Medland to join Michael Powers as the firm’s Managing Partners. Ryan and Christina will assume their roles on October 1, 2021. Michael has served as co-Managing Partner since Meridian started as an independent firm in 2010.
Ryan Harvey has consulted in executive and director compensation for over 25 years and helped launch Meridian as one of the original Partners in 2010. Ryan serves boards of directors and management at large companies in diverse industries, with extensive experience in long- and short-term incentive design, and retention matters. He acts as a national resource for Meridian on executive compensation issues associated with corporate transactions including initial public offerings, spin-offs, mergers, acquisitions and start-ups. Ryan has published articles on topics including change-in-control, IPO issues and pay for performance and oversees the firm’s marketing initiatives and other strategic committees.
Christina Medland has more than 30 years’ experience in executive and director compensation. Christina joined Meridian in 2011, following a successful legal career. Christina serves the boards of large U.S. and Canadian companies across a broad range of industries and with international operations. Christina has extensive experience addressing executive and director compensation and incentive design for large public companies. She is the head of Meridian’s Canadian practice, oversees Meridian’s business development training, is a leader of Meridian’s Diversity & Inclusion Council and was elected to Meridian’s Executive Committee in 2014. Christina is a frequent writer and speaker on executive compensation and incentive design issues.
